Ingredients

Main
  • 3 tablespoons white lotus syrup
  • 8 ounces still or sparkling water
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream or coconut milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • about 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk optional, for extra richness
  • Fresh mint or edible flowers for garnish

Equipment

  • Tall drinking glasses (16 oz or larger)
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Long spoon or bar spoon
  • Ice maker or ice tray
  • Pitcher (for batching)
  • Cocktail shaker (optional for aerated texture)

Method

  1. Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
  2. Add 3 tablespoons of white lotus syrup to each glass, pouring slowly over the ice.
  3. Pour 2 tablespoons of heavy cream or coconut milk into each glass; for a marble effect, pour slowly over the back of a spoon.
  4. Drop in 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract per glass directly into the mixture.
  5. Add 8 ounces of cold sparkling or still water to each glass, filling to near the rim.
  6. Stir gently but thoroughly with a long spoon for about 10 to 15 circular motions to combine all layers.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more syrup or water as desired.
  8. Top each drink with a sprig of fresh mint or a few edible flowers before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture and flavor; for extra chill, chill glasses in the freezer for 15 minutes before making.
