Ingredients

Main
  • 4 cups watermelon diced and seeds removed
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda or ginger ale
  • 1 cup vodka optional, or to taste
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Ice cubes for serving

Equipment

  • Large pitcher or bowl
  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Wooden spoon or ladle
  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. Start by cutting the watermelon into small cubes, ensuring you remove all seeds.
  2. Place the diced watermelon into a blender and blend until smooth.
  3. If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the watermelon puree through a fine mesh sieve.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the watermelon puree, orange juice, and pineapple juice. Stir well.
  5. Slowly pour in the lemon-lime soda or ginger ale.
  6. If using vodka, add it to the pitcher and stir gently.
  7. Let the punch chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  8. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the punch over. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

Use frozen watermelon chunks instead of ice to keep your punch chilled without diluting the flavor.
