Method
- Chill the shot glass or small rocks glass in the freezer for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Measure and pour 0.75 ounces of coffee liqueur into the bottom of the chilled glass.
- Hold a bar spoon just above the coffee liqueur layer and slowly pour 0.75 ounces of Irish whiskey over the spoon to layer it on top.
- Position the bar spoon with its curved side down against the whiskey layer to prepare for the next pour.
- Measure and slowly pour 0.5 ounces of Irish cream liqueur over the back of the bar spoon to create the top layer.
- Let the drink sit undisturbed for 10 to 15 seconds so the layers fully settle.
- Serve the layered cocktail without stirring and enjoy by sipping slowly or shooting quickly, as preferred.
