Ingredients

Main
  • 2 ounces Tito's Handmade Vodka
  • 4 to 6 ounces ginger beer
  • 0.5 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup ice crushed or cubed
  • 1 lime wheel or wedge for garnish

Equipment

  • Copper mug or highball glass
  • Jigger
  • Bar spoon or long cocktail spoon
  • Citrus juicer or hand juicer
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Cocktail strainer (optional)
  • Ice bucket or freezer access

Method

  1. Chill your copper mug or highball glass by filling it with ice and letting it sit for 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Cut a lime in half and use a citrus juicer to extract 0.5 ounce of fresh lime juice.
  3. Empty the ice and any collected water from the chilled mug.
  4. Add fresh ice, preferably crushed, filling the mug three-quarters full.
  5. Measure and pour 2 ounces of Tito's Handmade Vodka over the ice.
  6. Add 0.5 ounce of fresh lime juice into the mug.
  7. Top the drink with 4 to 6 ounces of cold ginger beer, adjusting to taste.
  8. Gently stir with a bar spoon for about 10 seconds, garnish with a lime wheel or wedge, and serve immediately.

Notes

Always use fresh lime juice and pre-chill your mug to maintain optimal flavor and carbonation.
