  • 3 to 4 fresh cranberries for garnish
  • 1 fresh rosemary sprig for garnish
  • Ice cubes as needed

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker or mason jar with lid
  • Jigger or measuring cups
  • Cocktail strainer
  • Highball or rocks glasses
  • Bar spoon or long stirring spoon
  • Citrus juicer
  • Cutting board and knife

Method

  1. Fill a highball or rocks glass with ice cubes, packing them in so the drink stays cold throughout.

  3. Pour 3 ounces of apple cider over the cranberry juice without stirring.
  4. Measure 0.5 ounce of maple syrup and pour it into the glass.
  5. Squeeze a fresh lemon and measure 0.5 ounce of lemon juice into the glass.
  6. Pour 2 ounces of ginger ale into the glass to top it off.

  8. Stir gently with a bar spoon for about 10 seconds, then garnish with 3 to 4 fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig.

Notes

To batch for a crowd, multiply ingredients by the number of drinks and combine in a pitcher, adding ginger ale and garnishes just before serving.
