  • 2 ounces silver or blanco tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 ounce fresh orange juice
  • 1 ounce cranberry juice unsweetened or light cranberry blend
  • 0.5 ounce triple sec or Cointreau
  • 0.5 ounce simple syrup
  • Ice cubes for shaking
  • Ice for serving
  • Fresh cranberries for garnish
  • Orange slice for garnish
  • Lime wheel for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons sugar for rim
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon for rim
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt for rim
  • Pinch of nutmeg for rim
  • Lime juice for rimming

  • Coupe glass or rocks glass

Method
 

  1. Combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sea salt on a small plate for the spiced rim.
  2. Rub the rim of the glass with a lime wedge and dip into the spice mixture to coat evenly.
  3. Juice fresh lime and orange to yield 1 ounce and 0.5 ounce respectively, straining if desired.
  4. Fill a cocktail shaker three-quarters full with ice cubes.
  5. Pour 2 ounces tequila and 0.5 ounce triple sec into the shaker.
  6. Add 1 ounce cranberry juice, 1 ounce lime juice, 0.5 ounce orange juice, and 0.5 ounce simple syrup.
  7. Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds until the shaker frosts over.
  8. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass, discarding ice from the shaker.
  9. Add fresh ice to the glass if desired and garnish with cranberries, an orange slice, and a lime wheel.
  10. Serve immediately and encourage guests to stir in garnishes for extra flavor.

Prepare rims and juices ahead to save time; serve immediately for best flavor.
