  • 4 ounces tequila preferably blanco
  • 1 ounce dry vermouth
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • Ice for shaking
  • Lime twist for garnish

  • Martini glasses
  • Jigger or measuring tool
  • Stirring spoon

Method
 

  1. Chill your martini glasses in the freezer or fill them with ice water to keep your drink cold.
  2. In a shaker, combine 4 ounces tequila, 1 ounce dry vermouth, and 1 ounce fresh lime juice.
  3. Fill the shaker halfway with ice.
  4. Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 15 seconds to chill and dilute the cocktail.
  5. Remove your chilled glasses from the freezer or discard the ice water.
  6. Strain the cocktail into the chilled martini glasses using a strainer.
  7. Garnish each glass with a lime twist for aroma and presentation.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your tequila martini while it's cold.

Notes

Experiment with the ratio of tequila to vermouth to find your perfect balance. Try mezcal for a smoky twist or infuse tequila with jalapeƱo for heat.
