Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder about 25 grams
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1/2 banana optional, adds creaminess
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup optional, if extra sweetness is desired

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tall glass
  • Spoon or straw

Method

  1. Gather and measure all ingredients to ensure a smooth blending process.
  2. Pour 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk into the blender as the base layer.
  3. Add 1 scoop vanilla protein powder and 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt to the blender.
  4. Layer 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries on top of the wet ingredients.
  5. Add 1/2 banana and 1/2 cup ice cubes to the blender.
  6. Secure the blender lid and blend on high speed for 45 to 60 seconds until smooth.
  7. Check the consistency and blend an additional 20 seconds if needed; add milk to thin or frozen berries to thicken.
  8. Pour the smoothie into a tall glass and serve immediately while cold and frosty.

Notes

Freeze strawberries in advance on a baking sheet to prevent clumping and speed up blending for an extra thick, cold smoothie.
