Snowflake Martini

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce white crème de cacao
  • 0.5 ounces heavy cream
  • 1 cup ice for shaking
  • 2 tablespoons sugar mixed with 0.5 tablespoon edible glitter or pearl dust
  • 1 tablespoon water or egg white for frosting the rim

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker or mason jar
  • Jigger for measuring
  • Martini glass or coupe glass
  • Bar spoon or long-handled spoon
  • Strainer or fine mesh sieve
  • Shallow dish for frosting
  • Small plate for coating rim

Method
 

  1. Place the martini glass in the freezer and chill for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Combine sugar and edible glitter in a shallow dish and mix well.
  3. Rub the rim of the chilled glass with water or egg white to moisten.
  4. Dip the glass rim into the sugar and glitter mixture and rotate to coat evenly.
  5. Fill the cocktail shaker with 1 cup of ice.
  6. Measure and pour 2 ounces vodka and 1 ounce white crème de cacao into the shaker.
  7. Add 0.5 ounces heavy cream to the shaker.
  8. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 12 to 15 seconds until frosty.
  9. Strain the mixture into the frosted martini glass, leaving ice behind.
  10. Garnish with an optional rosemary sprig or edible snowflake and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve immediately while glass is cold. Optionally garnish with rosemary or edible snowflake.
