  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

Equipment

  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Large spoon
  • Two tall glasses
  • Cutting board

Method

  1. Slice 2 medium bananas into quarter-inch coins and freeze on a parchment-lined tray for at least 2 hours until solid.
  2. Add 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt to the blender as the base layer.
  3. Place frozen banana slices on top of the yogurt in the blender.
  4. Scoop in 2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter into the blender.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt.
  6. Pour in 1 cup of milk, filling to about one inch below the rim.
  7. Blend on high for 45–60 seconds until the mixture is thick and creamy with no chunks.
  8. Taste a small amount and add up to 1 tablespoon honey if more sweetness is desired, then blend for 10 seconds.
  9. Divide the smoothie evenly into two tall glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

Freeze bananas in labeled portions for quick use and avoid dilution by using frozen fruit instead of ice.
