Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1 medium lemon freshly squeezed for the best flavor
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar adjust for sweetness
  • 1 cup of cold water or sparkling water for a fizzy twist
  • Ice cubes optional, but highly recommended
  • Lemon slice for garnish, optional

Equipment

  • Citrus juicer or reamer
  • Measuring spoons

Method
 

  1. Cut the lemon in half and use a juicer to extract all the juice.
  2. In your glass, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of sugar based on your sweetness preference.
  3. Pour the freshly squeezed lemon juice over the sugar and stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Pour in 1 cup of cold water or sparkling water for a bubbly twist.
  5. Give the mixture another good stir to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Taste and adjust the sweetness or dilution by adding more sugar or water as desired.
  7. Add a few ice cubes to chill the lemonade if desired.
  8. Garnish with a slice of lemon and serve immediately.

Notes

Use chilled water or sparkling water to make your lemonade extra refreshing.
