Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1 cup plain yogurt full-fat or Greek yogurt works best
  • 1/2 cup milk whole milk or any milk of choice
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons rose water adjust to taste
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons sugar or honey as preferred
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom optional but recommended
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes or as needed for desired thickness
  • A pinch dried rose petals for garnish optional

Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tall drinking glasses
  • Spoon or straw for stirring
  • Fine mesh strainer (optional)

Method
 

  1. Gather and measure all ingredients.
  2. Add 1 cup plain yogurt to the blender.
  3. Pour in 1/2 cup milk.
  4. Add 1 teaspoon rose water (adjust up to 2 teaspoons to taste).
  5. Add 2 tablespoons sugar, taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
  6. Add 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom.
  7. Add 1/2 cup ice cubes and blend on high speed for 60 to 90 seconds until smooth and frothy.
  8. Taste the lassi and adjust rose water, sugar, or milk if desired.
  9. Divide the lassi between two glasses, garnish with dried rose petals, and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftover lassi in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; stir or reblend before serving.
