Ingredients

Main
  • 12- ounce light or pale lager beer
  • 4 to 6 ounces tomato juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 to 3 dashes hot sauce
  • pinch black pepper
  • pinch sea salt
  • ice cubes optional
  • lime wedge for garnish

Equipment

  • pint glass or 16-ounce beer glass
  • bottle or can opener
  • Bar spoon or long mixing spoon
  • jigger (optional)
  • Cutting board
  • Small knife

Method

  1. Fill a pint glass with ice cubes and let it chill for 30 seconds.
  2. Measure 4 to 6 ounces of tomato juice into the glass.
  3. Add 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce to the tomato juice.
  4. Add 2 to 3 dashes of hot sauce and stir gently with a bar spoon.
  5. Sprinkle in a pinch of black pepper and a pinch of sea salt, then stir to combine.
  6. Open the 12-ounce lager bottle or can.
  7. Slowly pour the beer into the glass at a 45° angle to minimize foam.
  8. Give a gentle stir to blend the tomato juice and beer without deflating carbonation, then taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
  9. Squeeze a lime wedge over the drink, drop it in as garnish, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use ice-cold beer and chilled tomato juice for best texture and flavor; serve immediately to preserve carbonation.
