  • 0.5 ounces cranberry juice
  • 0.5 ounces simple syrup

Method
 

  1. Chill the margarita glass in the freezer for at least 2 minutes.
  2. Add a generous handful of ice cubes to the cocktail shaker.
  3. Measure and pour 2 ounces of silver tequila into the shaker.
  4. Add 1 ounce of blue curaçao to the shaker.
  5. Pour 1 ounce of fresh lime juice into the shaker.
  6. Add 0.5 ounces of cranberry juice to achieve the purple hue.
  7. Pour 0.5 ounces of simple syrup into the shaker.
  8. Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds to chill and combine ingredients.
  9. Strain the mixture into the chilled margarita glass.
  10. Garnish with a lime wedge and rim the glass with salt or sugar if desired.

Notes

Always use fresh lime juice and avoid pre-made margarita mix for the best flavor clarity and brightness.
