Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey or sugar optional
  • 1 teaspoon loose green tea or 1 green tea bag
  • 1 slice lemon for garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish, optional

Equipment

  • Teapot or saucepan
  • Strainer

  • Spoon for stirring

Method
 

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a teapot or saucepan over high heat, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon loose green tea or 1 green tea bag to the boiling water and steep for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea leaves or tea bag and stir in 1 cup of pomegranate juice.
  4. Add 1-2 teaspoons of honey or sugar while the tea is warm, stirring until dissolved.
  5. Pour the tea into cups and garnish with a slice of lemon and fresh mint leaves.
  6. For an iced version, let the tea cool to room temperature, refrigerate until cold, then serve over ice.

Notes

Customize sweetness and garnish to taste, and experiment with additional spices like cinnamon or cardamom.
