Ingredients

Main
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1.5 ounces cranberry juice
  • 1 ounce pineapple juice
  • 0.5 ounce grenadine optional
  • 1 cup ice

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker or mason jar with lid
  • Shot glasses
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Mixing spoon
  • Strainer

Method

  1. Pull out your vodka, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and any grenadine you're using. Measure everything out so you're not fumbling during assembly.
  2. Add about one cup of ice to your cocktail shaker or mason jar.
  3. Measure two ounces of vodka and pour it into the shaker with the ice.
  4. Pour 1.5 ounces of cranberry juice into the shaker.
  5. Measure and pour one ounce of pineapple juice into the shaker.
  6. Cap the shaker and shake hard for about 15 seconds.
  7. Pour the mixture through a strainer into shot glasses, filling each one about three quarters full.
  8. If using grenadine, pour a small splash into the bottom of each shot glass after straining.

Notes

Chill your shot glasses in the freezer for 15 minutes before serving to keep the shots colder longer. Use fresh juices if possible for better flavor. Make shots in batches of 8 and serve immediately after mixing while everything is still cold. Store mixed shot mixture in a sealed pitcher in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
