Method
- Fill your highball glass with ice to chill it while you prepare the drink.
- Add 6 to 8 ice cubes to your cocktail shaker.
- Pour 1.5 ounces of vodka into the shaker.
- Add 3 ounces of cranberry juice to the shaker.
- Pour 3 ounces of pineapple juice into the shaker.
- Seal your shaker and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds until thoroughly chilled.
- Pour out the ice water from the chilled glass.
- Use your strainer to pour the cocktail from the shaker into the chilled glass.
- Add 2 to 3 fresh ice cubes to the drink and garnish with a pineapple wedge or cherry on the rim.
Notes
Use equal parts cranberry and pineapple juice for balanced flavor. Always shake with ice rather than stirring for proper chilling and texture. Chill your glass before serving for best results. For a sparkling version, top with club soda. For a virgin version, omit vodka and use 2 ounces each of cranberry and pineapple juice.
