  • 1.5 ounces pickle juice from a jar of dill pickles

  • Shot glass (1.5 ounce capacity)
  • Small juice glass or rocks glass
  • Jigger or measuring spoon for accurate pour

Method
 

  1. Select a quality whiskey you enjoy drinking on its own.
  2. Place a shot glass and a juice glass on your work surface.
  3. Use a jigger to measure 1.5 ounces of whiskey into the shot glass.
  4. Pour 1.5 ounces of pickle juice into the juice glass.
  5. Optional: Add a single ice cube to the whiskey and stir gently for 10 seconds to chill, then discard the ice.
  6. Bring the shot glass to your lips and drink the whiskey in one smooth motion.
  7. Immediately chase with a sip of chilled pickle juice to cleanse the palate.
  8. Enjoy the contrasting flavors of the warm whiskey and tangy pickle juice.
