  • 2 ounces Patron Silver Tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice from 2 to 3 fresh limes
  • 0.5 ounces Cointreau or triple sec
  • 0.5 ounces simple syrup
  • Sea salt for rimming the glass
  • 1 cup cubed ice
  • Fresh lime wheel for garnish

  • Jigger or measuring cup

  • Rocks glass or coupe glass
  • Citrus juicer or reamer
  • Cutting board and knife

Method
 

  1. Chill the glass by filling a rocks or coupe glass with ice and letting it sit while you prepare the drink.
  2. Prepare the salt rim by dampening sea salt on a plate with lime juice and coating the outside rim of the chilled glass evenly, then discard the ice.
  3. Add 1 cup of cubed ice to the cocktail shaker until it is roughly half full.
  4. Measure and pour 2 ounces of Patron Silver Tequila into the ice-filled shaker.
  5. Add 0.5 ounces of Cointreau or triple sec to the shaker.
  6. Add 1 ounce of fresh lime juice and 0.5 ounces of simple syrup to the shaker.
  7. Shake the mixture vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty.
  8. Strain the margarita into the prepared glass, leaving the ice in the shaker.
  9. Garnish with a fresh lime wheel on the rim and serve immediately.

Notes

Use high-quality tequila and fresh lime juice for the best flavor and balance. Always serve immediately to maintain optimal temperature and texture.
