Ingredients

Main
  • 2 cups fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1 cup silver tequila
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt plus more for rimming
  • 2 cups club soda or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Grapefruit slices and lime wheels for garnish

Equipment

  • Large pitcher (at least 64 ounces)
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Citrus juicer or reamer
  • Stirring spoon or bar spoon
  • Cocktail glasses
  • Small shallow dish for salt rim
  • Cutting board and knife

Method

  1. Juice fresh grapefruit, limes, and lemons into separate containers using a citrus juicer or reamer.
  2. Fill the large pitcher halfway with ice cubes to keep the drink chilled.
  3. Measure and pour the silver tequila into the pitcher over the ice.
  4. Pour in the fresh grapefruit juice, lime juice, and lemon juice into the pitcher.
  5. Add the simple syrup and stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until well combined.
  6. Sprinkle in the sea salt and stir for another 20 seconds to enhance the citrus flavors.
  7. Pour in the club soda just before serving to preserve the carbonation.
  8. Run a lime wedge around each glass rim and dip in sea salt, fill glasses with ice, pour the Paloma mixture, and garnish with grapefruit slices and lime wheels.

Notes

Chill the pitcher for 15 minutes before serving and add club soda just before guests arrive to keep it bubbly.
