Method
- Bring 4 cups of fresh cold water to a rolling boil in a kettle or pot.
- While water heats, combine 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg, and 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger in a small bowl.
- Pour the boiling water into a heatproof pot or into four mugs, add 4 black tea bags (or 2 tablespoons loose leaf tea), and steep for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags or strain the loose leaf tea to prevent over-steeping.
- Add the mixed spices to the hot tea and stir well with a whisk or spoon for about 30 seconds.
- Gradually whisk in 1/2 cup Orange Tang powder until fully dissolved and smooth.
- Stir in 2 to 3 tablespoons honey or sugar, tasting and adjusting sweetness as desired.
- Finish with a pinch of salt and stir once more to enhance all the flavors.
Notes
