  • Ice for serving
  • Fresh lemon slices for garnish optional

Equipment

  • Juicer or lemon squeezer

Method

  1. Start by cutting the lemons in half and juicing them until you have one cup of fresh lemon juice.
  2. In a measuring cup, pour out one cup of granulated sugar.
  3. In a pitcher, mix the freshly squeezed lemon juice with the sugar and stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  4. Slowly pour in four cups of cold water to the lemon and sugar mixture.
  5. Take a small sip of your lemonade and taste it; adjust sweetness by adding more sugar or water as needed.
  6. Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled lemonade over the ice.
  8. Add fresh lemon slices to each glass for garnish.
