Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons black tea leaves or 2 tea bags
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup milk optional, for creaminess

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Whisk or spoon for stirring
  • Fine mesh strainer or tea infuser
  • Mugs for serving

Method
 

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the black tea leaves or tea bags to the boiling water and stir to combine.
  3. Stir in the ground cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger until well mixed.
  4. Add sugar to taste and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer the tea for 5 minutes to deepen the flavors.
  6. Strain the tea through a fine mesh strainer or tea infuser into serving mugs.
  7. If desired, stir in 1/4 cup milk and heat for an additional 1 minute over low heat.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your warm nora tea.

Notes

Use freshly grated ginger for an extra zing that elevates the flavor!
