Main
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice about 4-6 lemons
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup adjust to taste
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Optional: lemon slices and mint for garnish

Equipment

  • Citrus juicer or reamer
  • Pitcher
  • Measuring cup
  • Spoon for stirring
  • Glasses for serving

Method

  1. Start by rolling each lemon on the countertop to soften them, making them easier to juice.
  2. Cut the lemons in half and use a citrus juicer to extract the juice, aiming for about one cup of lemon juice.
  3. In a pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice and cold water.
  4. Add honey or agave syrup to the pitcher and stir well to ensure the sweetener dissolves completely.
  5. Let the lemonade chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Fill glasses with ice cubes.
  7. Pour the chilled lemonade over the ice in each glass.
  8. Garnish with lemon slices and a sprig of mint.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness to your preference; start with less sweetener and add more if needed.
