Method
- Pull the evaporated milk and orange juice from the refrigerator and ensure both are thoroughly chilled.
- Divide the ice cubes evenly between two tall glasses, filling each glass about halfway.
- Slowly pour 1 cup of fresh orange juice into each glass over the ice.
- Measure 6 ounces of chilled evaporated milk into a separate container for each glass.
- Tilt the first glass slightly and pour the evaporated milk slowly down the side of the glass over the ice to create layers.
- Repeat the milk pouring technique with the second glass, tilting it and pouring slowly.
- Gently stir each drink with a spoon or straw to combine the layers just before drinking.
- Serve immediately to enjoy the distinct layers and optimal chill.
Notes
Use ice-cold ingredients and pour the milk slowly down the side of the glass to maintain the visual layers. Serve immediately for best presentation.
