Ingredients
  

Main
  • 8 ounces whole milk dairy or non-dairy like almond, oat, or coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Pinch of ground cardamom
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon raw honey add after heating
  • 250 mg ashwagandha powder optional, for sleep support

Method
 

  1. Measure out 8 ounces of milk and pour it into a small saucepan.
  2. Add 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric, 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger, a pinch of cardamom, a pinch of cinnamon, and a pinch of black pepper to the cold milk.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium-low heat and bring the milk to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon.
  4. Let the milk simmer gently for 3 to 4 minutes to fully infuse the spices.
  5. Remove the pan from heat and whisk in 250 mg of ashwagandha powder until fully combined.
  6. Allow the milk to cool for about 30 seconds, then use a whisk or milk frother to froth vigorously for 30 seconds.
  7. Strain the moon milk through a fine mesh strainer into a mug to catch any spice particles.
  8. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of raw honey, and serve immediately while warm.
