- Measure out 8 ounces of milk and pour it into a small saucepan.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric, 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger, a pinch of cardamom, a pinch of cinnamon, and a pinch of black pepper to the cold milk.
- Place the saucepan over medium-low heat and bring the milk to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon.
- Let the milk simmer gently for 3 to 4 minutes to fully infuse the spices.
- Remove the pan from heat and whisk in 250 mg of ashwagandha powder until fully combined.
- Allow the milk to cool for about 30 seconds, then use a whisk or milk frother to froth vigorously for 30 seconds.
- Strain the moon milk through a fine mesh strainer into a mug to catch any spice particles.
- Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of raw honey, and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
Pro Tip: Make a spice paste by mixing all dry spices with a tablespoon of coconut oil or ghee ahead of time; store in a small jar for quick prep and consistent flavor.
