Ingredients
  

Main
  • 3 ounces Minute Maid Limeade chilled
  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 0.5 ounces Cointreau or triple sec
  • 0.5 ounces fresh lime juice optional
  • Kosher salt for rimming
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker or mason jar with lid
  • Jigger or shot glass
  • Bar spoon or long spoon
  • Strainer
  • Margarita or rocks glasses
  • Small shallow dish
  • Ice maker or ice tray

Method
 

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip in kosher salt to coat.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker or mason jar three-quarters full with ice cubes.
  3. Pour 2 ounces of silver tequila into the ice-filled shaker.
  4. Add 0.5 ounces of Cointreau or triple sec to the shaker.
  5. Pour 3 ounces of chilled Minute Maid Limeade into the shaker.
  6. Add 0.5 ounces of fresh lime juice if using for extra brightness.
  7. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds until well chilled.
  8. Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses filled with fresh ice cubes.
  9. Garnish each drink with a lime wedge on the rim and serve immediately.

Notes

Chill your glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes before serving to keep the margaritas cold longer and reduce dilution.
