Method
- Fill your mixing glass with plenty of ice to chill the drink quickly.
- Measure and pour 1 ounce of mezcal into the mixing glass.
- Add 1 ounce of Campari to the mezcal in the mixing glass.
- Pour in 1 ounce of dry vermouth to complete the mix.
- Stir continuously for about 30 seconds until the outside of the glass is frosted and cold.
- Fill a rocks glass with fresh ice cubes.
- Strain the chilled mixture into the ice-filled rocks glass using a cocktail strainer.
- Twist a large orange peel over the drink to express oils, then drop it in as a garnish.
Notes
Serve immediately and enjoy as an aperitif or after-dinner sipper.
