Method
- Ensure the Margaritaville frozen drink machine is clean, assembled, and placed on a stable, level surface.
- In a large pitcher or bowl, combine 2 cups silver tequila, 1 cup triple sec, and 1 cup fresh lime juice; stir gently and taste for balance.
- Add 1/2 cup lime cordial and 1/4 cup agave nectar to the mixture; stir thoroughly for 30 seconds to dissolve sweeteners.
- Pour 1 cup water into the pitcher and stir to combine evenly.
- Pour the margarita base into the machine reservoir, filling to 1 inch below the fill line to allow for ice expansion.
- Add 4 to 5 cups of crushed or cubed ice into the ice compartment without packing it too tightly.
- Start the freezing cycle by pressing the frozen drink button; let the machine churn for approximately 8 to 12 minutes.
- After about 6 minutes, open the tap briefly to check consistency; aim for a smooth, slushy texture.
- Prepare glasses by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping into coarse salt to coat evenly.
- Once the slush is ready, dispense margaritas into prepared glasses, garnish with lime wedges, and serve immediately.
Notes
Pre-chill glasses in the freezer for 15 minutes to keep drinks colder longer. Store any leftover margarita base in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days and stir before reuse.
