Luzianne Sweet Tea

Ingredients
  

Main
  • 4 cups water
  • 3-4 Luzianne tea bags depending on desired strength
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Ice for serving

  • Wooden spoon

  • Ice cubes

Method
 

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a medium saucepan over high heat.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and add 3-4 Luzianne tea bags, then steep for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Carefully remove and discard the tea bags to prevent bitterness.
  4. Stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar while the tea is still warm until fully dissolved.
  5. Add 1 cup of cold water to the sweet tea and stir to combine and cool slightly.
  6. Transfer the tea to a heatproof pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.
  7. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled tea over the ice.
  8. Garnish with lemon slices or fresh mint leaves if desired and enjoy.

Notes

Adjust the sugar to your taste and store leftover tea in the refrigerator for up to one week.
