Method
- Heat 6 ounces of water in a kettle or pot until it reaches a rolling boil.
- Pour a small amount of the hot water into your mug, let sit for 20 seconds, then discard to warm the mug.
- Place the Earl Grey tea bag or loose leaf tea in the warmed mug and pour the boiling water over it; steep for 3 to 4 minutes.
- While the tea steeps, warm 4 ounces of milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until steaming but not boiling.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla syrup to the warm milk and stir until fully combined.
- Remove the tea bag or strain out the loose leaves, pressing gently against the mug rim to extract flavor.
- Pour the warm vanilla milk into the brewed tea and froth with a whisk or milk frother for 15 to 20 seconds if desired.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with honey or an extra splash of milk as needed, then serve immediately.
Notes
Use high-quality Earl Grey tea for the best flavor and serve immediately to enjoy its creamy texture and floral aroma.
