Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice about 4-6 limes
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice for serving
  • Lime slices for garnish (optional)

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Cut the limes in half and use a juicer or citrus squeezer to extract the juice.
  2. Step 2: In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lime juice and granulated sugar.
  3. Step 3: Stir the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Add 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir to combine.
  5. Step 5: Stir thoroughly to ensure even flavor distribution.
  6. Step 6: Chill the limeade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Step 7: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled limeade over the ice.
  8. Step 8: Garnish with lime slices if desired and enjoy.

Notes

For an extra zing, add a splash of soda water right before serving.
