Method
- Measure 1 teaspoon matcha powder and 1/2 teaspoon dried culinary lavender into a small bowl.
- Pour 4 ounces of hot water (about 175°F) over the matcha and lavender mixture.
- Whisk vigorously for about 30 seconds until smooth and bright green, ensuring no lumps remain.
- Strain the matcha and lavender mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into your mug, discarding any solids.
- Heat 6 ounces of milk in a small saucepan or milk frother until steaming (about 60 seconds), but not boiling.
- Froth the hot milk until a light layer of foam forms on top (optional but recommended).
- Slowly pour the steamed milk into the mug with the strained matcha, stirring gently to combine.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup and a pinch of sea salt, tasting and adjusting sweetness as desired.
