  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Whisk or electric mixer
  • 8-ounce or 10-ounce coffee mug
  • Small mixing bowl

Method

  1. Brew 1 cup of strong hot coffee using your preferred method (coffee maker, French press, or pour-over).
  2. Measure 1.5 ounces of Kentucky bourbon using a jigger or measuring spoon.
  3. Place 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and a pinch of ground nutmeg into your serving mug.
  4. Pour the hot brewed coffee into the mug over the sugar and spices.
  5. Stir thoroughly for about 30 seconds until the sugar is fully dissolved and spices are evenly mixed.
  6. Add the bourbon to the coffee and stir gently to combine.
  7. In a chilled bowl, whip 1/4 cup heavy cream with 1 teaspoon granulated sugar and a pinch of salt using a whisk or electric mixer until soft peaks form (about 1–2 minutes).
  8. Spoon the whipped cream on top of the coffee to form a cloud-like topping.
  9. Serve immediately while hot and enjoy slowly to taste the blend of coffee, bourbon, and cream.

Notes

Serve immediately for best flavor; store leftover coffee mixture without whipped cream in an airtight container for up to three days.
