Method
- Brew 1 cup of strong hot coffee using your preferred method (coffee maker, French press, or pour-over).
- Measure 1.5 ounces of Kentucky bourbon using a jigger or measuring spoon.
- Place 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and a pinch of ground nutmeg into your serving mug.
- Pour the hot brewed coffee into the mug over the sugar and spices.
- Stir thoroughly for about 30 seconds until the sugar is fully dissolved and spices are evenly mixed.
- Add the bourbon to the coffee and stir gently to combine.
- In a chilled bowl, whip 1/4 cup heavy cream with 1 teaspoon granulated sugar and a pinch of salt using a whisk or electric mixer until soft peaks form (about 1–2 minutes).
- Spoon the whipped cream on top of the coffee to form a cloud-like topping.
- Serve immediately while hot and enjoy slowly to taste the blend of coffee, bourbon, and cream.
Notes
Serve immediately for best flavor; store leftover coffee mixture without whipped cream in an airtight container for up to three days.
