Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 ounces bourbon whiskey preferably a mid-range Kentucky bourbon
  • 0.5 ounces peach liqueur
  • 0.75 ounces fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 ounces simple syrup
  • 1 dash of Angostura bitters
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon wheel or twist for garnish
  • Optional: splash of soda water

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker or mason jar with lid
  • Jigger or measuring spoon
  • Strainer
  • Rocks glass or highball glass
  • Mixing spoon or bar spoon
  • Citrus juicer (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Method
 

  1. Fill your cocktail shaker or mason jar three-quarters full with ice cubes.
  2. Measure and pour 2 ounces of bourbon whiskey into the shaker.
  3. Add 0.5 ounces of peach liqueur to the shaker.
  4. Measure and pour 0.75 ounces of fresh lemon juice into the shaker.
  5. Add 0.5 ounces of simple syrup to balance the tartness.
  6. Drop in 1 dash of Angostura bitters for aromatic depth.
  7. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds until frosty.
  8. Strain the cocktail into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice using a strainer.
  9. Garnish with a lemon wheel or twist and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use fresh lemon juice, quality bourbon, and chill your glass before serving.
