Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup Jose Cuervo tequila optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Ice for serving

Equipment

  • Measuring cup
  • Juicer
  • Pitcher
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Glasses for serving

Method

  1. Gather all the ingredients on your countertop to ensure a smooth and enjoyable preparation.
  2. Using a juicer, extract juice from fresh limes until you have 1 cup of lime juice, aiming for about 5–6 limes.
  3. In a pitcher, combine the lime juice, 1/2 cup simple syrup, 1/2 cup water, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir for 30 seconds to mix thoroughly.
  4. If desired, add 1/4 cup Jose Cuervo tequila to the pitcher and stir gently for 15 seconds to incorporate.
  5. Refrigerate the mix for at least 30 minutes to chill and allow flavors to meld.
  6. Prepare serving glasses by rimming them with salt if preferred, then fill each glass with ice.
  7. Pour the margarita mix over the ice in each glass, dividing evenly among servings.
  8. Garnish each glass with a lime wedge and serve immediately for optimal freshness.

Notes

For a frozen margarita, blend the chilled mix with ice until smooth for a slushy texture.
