  • 1 cup cold water or juice
  • 1 cup 8 ounces vodka, rum, tequila, or your preferred spirit
  • Sugar or honey for rim coating optional
  • Citrus juice for extra brightness optional

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Heat one cup of water in a small saucepan until it reaches a rolling boil.
  2. Step 2: Pour the boiling water into a large bowl, then add one package of gelatin powder while whisking constantly for about 30 seconds until fully dissolved.
  3. Step 3: Stir in one cup of cold water or juice to cool the mixture slightly.
  4. Step 4: Add one cup of your chosen spirit to the gelatin mixture and stir gently to combine.
  5. Step 5: Mix everything together for about one minute until the liquid is uniform and smooth.
  6. Step 6: Carefully pour the mixture into shot glasses or small cups, filling each about three-quarters full.
  7. Step 7: Refrigerate the shots for at least four hours or overnight until fully set.
  8. Step 8: Remove the shots from the refrigerator about five minutes before serving so they are not too firm and ready to enjoy.

Notes

Serve cold as a party appetizer. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to one week.
