  • 1.5 oz Jameson Irish Whiskey
  • 3 oz brewed green tea cooled
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz honey syrup equal parts honey and warm water, mixed and cooled
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon wheel or twist for garnish

  • Cocktail shaker or mason jar
  • Jigger or measuring cup (1.5 oz and 0.5 oz measures)
  • Bar spoon or long spoon for stirring
  • Strainer
  • Rocks glass or highball glass
  • Muddler (optional, for ice crushing)
  • Teapot or kettle for brewing green tea
  • Citrus juicer or hand squeezer

Method
 

  1. Heat 8 oz of water to 160 to 180°F and steep one green tea bag or 1 tsp loose green tea for 2 to 3 minutes until pale golden, then remove the tea and let it cool completely.
  2. Combine 1 tbsp honey and 1 tbsp warm water in a small jar, stir until dissolved to make honey syrup, then let it cool to room temperature.
  3. Fill a rocks glass or highball glass three quarters full with ice cubes.
  4. Measure 1.5 oz Jameson Irish Whiskey and 3 oz cooled green tea using a jigger or measuring cup.
  5. Add the whiskey, green tea, and 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice to a cocktail shaker or mason jar.
  6. Pour in 0.5 oz honey syrup, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 10 seconds until the shaker feels cold.
  7. Strain the cocktail through a strainer into the glass over the ice.
  8. Garnish with a lemon wheel or twist, expressing the oils over the top, and serve immediately.

Notes

Brew and chill the green tea and honey syrup ahead of time for faster assembly and consistent results.
