Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1 cup roasted unsalted peanuts
  • 1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 cups whole milk or 2% milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Ice cubes if serving cold
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar optional

  • Large mixing bowl or pitcher
  • Fine mesh sieve or strainer

  • Cheesecloth or nut milk bag (optional)

Method
 

  1. Pour 1 cup roasted unsalted peanuts into a measuring cup and set aside.
  2. Add the roasted peanuts and 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk to the blender or food processor.
  3. Blend on high speed for 60 to 90 seconds until smooth and no peanut chunks remain.
  4. With the blender running on medium, slowly pour in 3 cups whole milk to combine.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  6. Blend on high speed for another 30 seconds to fully incorporate the spices and vanilla.
  7. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing gently to remove solids.
  8. Serve immediately over ice for a cold drink or warm directly from the blender for a hot version.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days, stirring before serving.
