A refreshing twist on a classic Earl Grey tea latte, chilled with ice and infused with vanilla.

Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons Earl Grey tea leaves or 2 tea bags
  • 1 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: whipped cream for topping

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Strainer or tea infuser
  • Two tall glasses
  • Stirring spoon

Method
 

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a small saucepan over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons of Earl Grey tea leaves or 2 tea bags; steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Strain the brewed tea into a container and let it cool to room temperature.
  4. Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes.
  5. Divide 1 cup of milk and 2 tablespoons of vanilla syrup evenly between the glasses.
  6. Slowly pour the cooled tea over the milk and vanilla syrup in each glass.
  7. Gently stir each drink to combine all ingredients.
  8. Top with whipped cream if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftover tea in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and stir before serving.
