Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice optional but recommended
  • Pinch of sea salt optional

  • Kettle or pot for boiling water
  • Mug or teacup
  • Spoon for stirring

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Measure and pour 1 cup of cold filtered water into your kettle.
  2. Step 2: Heat the water on high until it reaches a full rolling boil, about 3 minutes.
  3. Step 3: While waiting, optionally rinse your mug with hot tap water to preheat it.
  4. Step 4: Carefully pour boiling water into the mug, filling it about three-quarters full.
  5. Step 5: Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of raw honey to the hot water, adjusting sweetness to taste.
  6. Step 6: Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice to enhance flavor and aid dissolution.
  7. Step 7: Stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until the honey is fully dissolved.
  8. Step 8: If desired, add a pinch of sea salt and stir briefly to round out the flavor.
  9. Step 9: Let the tea cool for 30 seconds before sipping to enjoy the full flavor profile.

Notes

Adjust honey and lemon levels to taste. Serve hot for throat soothing or chill for a refreshing cold beverage.
