Ingredients
  

Main
  • 8 ounces 1 cup water
  • 1/2 medium fresh lemon sliced
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey

  • Kettle or pot for boiling water
  • Mug or teacup

  • Citrus juicer (optional)

Method
 

  1. Bring 8 ounces of fresh water to a rolling boil in a kettle or pot.
  2. While the water heats, slice half a medium lemon into 2 to 3 thin rounds.
  3. Pre-warm your mug by pouring a small amount of hot water into it, let sit for 15 seconds, then discard the water.
  4. Place the lemon slices in the warmed mug.
  5. Pour the boiling water over the lemon slices.
  6. Let the lemon steep in the hot water for 1 to 2 minutes.
  7. Stir in 1 tablespoon of raw honey until fully dissolved.
  8. Taste and adjust sweetness or lemon intensity as desired.
  9. Enjoy the tea immediately while it is still hot.

Notes

This tea can be customized with fresh ginger or turmeric and is best enjoyed immediately for maximum flavor and soothing warmth.
