Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 tablespoon dried lavender flowers
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk or milk frother
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Coffee maker or espresso machine
  • Cup or mug for serving

Method

  1. Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until steaming but not boiling, about 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the dried lavender flowers, then steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Strain the infused milk through a fine mesh strainer into a clean bowl, discarding the lavender buds.
  4. Stir in the honey until fully dissolved while the milk is still warm.
  5. Brew 1 cup of strong coffee or pull a shot of espresso using your coffee maker or espresso machine.
  6. Pour the brewed coffee into your serving mug and top with the honey lavender milk.
  7. If desired, stir in the vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  8. For a café-style finish, froth the latte with a whisk or milk frother before serving.

Notes

For an iced version, chill the brewed coffee and lavender-infused milk before serving over ice. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
