Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup simple syrup
  • 4 cups soda water
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes for serving

Equipment

  • Mixing glass or pitcher
  • Measuring jigger
  • Stirring spoon
  • Ice cubes
  • Glasses for serving

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves completely, then cool.
  2. Roll the lemons on a countertop to break down the fibers before cutting them in half and juicing.
  3. In a large mixing glass or pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice and simple syrup. Stir well to blend the flavors.
  4. Gently muddle the fresh mint leaves in the mixture to release the mint's essential oils.
  5. Slowly pour in the soda water and stir gently to combine.
  6. Fill serving glasses with ice cubes.
  7. Pour the Holy Water mixture over the ice in each glass.
  8. Optionally garnish each glass with a sprig of mint or a lemon slice.

Notes

Adjust the balance of lemon juice and simple syrup according to your preference before serving.
