Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup raw hemp seeds
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • Pinch of sea salt

Equipment

  • High-speed blender
  • Fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Glass storage bottles or jars with lids
  • Spoon or whisk

Method

  1. Step 1: Measure 1 cup raw hemp seeds and pour them into the blender.
  2. Step 2: Add 4 cups filtered water, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt to the blender.
  3. Step 3: Blend on high speed for 60 to 90 seconds until completely smooth.
  4. Step 4: While blending, position a fine-mesh strainer or nut milk bag over a large mixing bowl.
  5. Step 5: Pour the blended mixture through the strainer into the bowl, letting gravity separate the milk.
  6. Step 6: Gently squeeze the nut milk bag or strainer pulp to capture every drop of milk without pressing too hard.
  7. Step 7: Taste the milk and adjust by adding more vanilla or a touch of maple syrup for sweetness.
  8. Step 8: Transfer the milk into glass bottles or jars, refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Shake well before each use; store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and use pulp for smoothies or granola.
