Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 ounce melon liqueur Midori or similar
  • 0.5 ounce light coconut rum
  • 0.5 ounce simple syrup
  • 1 cup ice
  • Salt for rim
  • 1 lime wheel for garnish

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or shot glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Cocktail strainer
  • Coupe or margarita glass
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Small plate or saucer

Method
 

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a coupe or margarita glass, then dip the rim into salt to coat evenly.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker three-quarters full with ice.
  3. Measure and pour 2 ounces of silver tequila into the shaker.
  4. Add 1 ounce of fresh lime juice to the shaker.
  5. Pour in 0.5 ounce of melon liqueur.
  6. Add 0.5 ounce of light coconut rum to the shaker.
  7. Pour 0.5 ounce of simple syrup into the mixture.
  8. Close the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds until the shaker is cold and frosty.
  9. Strain the cocktail into the prepared salt-rimmed glass, leaving ice behind.
  10. Garnish with a lime wheel and serve immediately while chilled.

Notes

Serve immediately while chilled; adjust sweetness with additional simple syrup if needed.
