Ingredients

Main
  • 0.75 ounce vodka
  • 0.5 ounce Chambord black raspberry liqueur
  • 0.5 ounce purple grape juice
  • 0.25 ounce sour mix

Equipment

  • Shot glass (1.5 ounce standard size)
  • Jigger
  • Bar spoon or regular small spoon
  • Mixing glass or small cup
  • Bottle opener

Method

  1. Step 1: Gather all your ingredients and tools, including a shot glass, jigger, bar spoon, and mixing glass.
  2. Step 2: Measure and pour 0.75 ounce vodka into the mixing glass using the jigger for accuracy.
  3. Step 3: Add 0.5 ounce Chambord to the mixing glass to develop the signature purple color.
  4. Step 4: Pour in 0.5 ounce purple grape juice and stir gently to combine initial ingredients.
  5. Step 5: Add 0.25 ounce sour mix to balance sweetness and prevent cloying flavor.
  6. Step 6: Stir the mixture for 10 to 15 seconds with a bar spoon until the color and flavors are fully integrated.
  7. Step 7: Strain the liquid into the shot glass, filling it just below the rim to avoid spills.
  8. Step 8: Serve immediately and enjoy. For an extra cold shot, pre-chill your shot glass in the freezer for 10 minutes before pouring.

Notes

Serve immediately for best taste and color. Pre-chilling the shot glass makes it colder without dilution.
