Method
- Chill your margarita glass by filling it with ice cubes and set aside.
- Prepare the salt rim by running a lime wedge around the glass edge and dipping it into kosher salt on a small plate.
- Juice your citrus by squeezing the lime and lemon, straining the juice to remove pulp and seeds.
- Fill the cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes for proper chilling.
- Measure and add 2 oz premium silver tequila into the shaker.
- Measure and add 0.75 oz Grand Marnier to the shaker.
- Add 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup into the shaker.
- Shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds until the shaker is frosty.
- Discard the ice from the chilled glass and strain the margarita into the salt-rimmed glass.
- Garnish with a lime wheel and serve immediately while cold.
Notes
For an extra-cold drink, chill your glass in the freezer for 15 minutes before preparing the cocktail.
