Ingredients
  

Main
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons black tea leaves
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons sugar to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves optional

  • Strainer or tea infuser

Method
 

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a medium saucepan over high heat.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons black tea leaves to the boiling water.
  3. Stir in 1 teaspoon ground ginger, 1 teaspoon ground cardamom, and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
  4. Add 3 tablespoons sugar while the mixture is hot, stirring until fully dissolved.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer the tea for 5 to 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and strain the tea into cups using a fine mesh strainer.
  7. Optionally, add 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves to each cup for extra flavor.
  8. Serve the tea hot and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For a stronger flavor, let the tea steep longer before straining. Adjust sugar and spices to taste.
