Ingredients

  • 4 large lemons freshly squeezed
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Mint leaves for garnish
  • Ice cubes optional

Method
 

  1. Cut the lemons in half and use a juicer or citrus squeezer to extract the juice.
  2. Pour 4 cups of cold water into a pitcher.
  3. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the water and stir gently to combine.
  4. Gradually add 1 cup sugar, stirring until fully dissolved; taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
  5. Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to chill and allow flavors to meld.
  6. Fill serving glasses with ice cubes if desired for extra chill.
  7. Pour the chilled lemonade into glasses.
  8. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and a slice of lemon if desired, then serve.

Notes

Adjust sugar to taste; use sparkling water for a fizzy twist.
